Wu Shu

My works reflect the oriental philosophy of freedom in the use of shapes and the more western freedom of expression in the use of color.

I grew up in China in a small mountain town around an old-growth forest, and dreamed of becoming an artist. I’m fortunate to have studied and trained in university in eastern and western techniques.  I then moved to a fast paced city Beijing to develop my craft. Reminiscent of those moments that shaped my life, my art utilizes color and form to reflect the emotional challenges of an ever changing life.
